All our gradients come in two orientations: Original – as seen in the photos or Inverted – where the colors run in reverse. Colors as shown: Rose, Peach, Melon, Lemonade, Pistachio, Powder, Lilac

Adding sparkle does not change the weight of the yarn. Sparkle Add-On Disclaimer: Sparkle thread is a different material than the cotton base and has more stretch. Because of this, the sparkle strand(s) may not always align perfectly with the cotton and can appear slightly looser or tighter in places. Each cake is hand wound with care. While I do my best to maintain even tension, minor variation is a natural part of the hand-winding process. For best results when working with sparkle, running the yarn through a bead is recommended to help minimize unevenness.

Ply & Yarn Weight
 • 4 ply is fingering weight (Weight 2)
 • 5 ply is sport weight (Weight 3)
 • 8 ply is DK weight (Weight 4)

About 8-Ply Cakes

8-ply cakes are shipped as two complementary 4-ply cakes. The cakes are not identical; each contains a different portion of the color sequence. When worked together, they create a smooth, continuous gradient across all 8 strands.

Recommended Hook and Needle Sizes: 

Hook and needle sizes are recommendations only. Individual tension and project type may require adjustments.

  • 4 Ply: Hook Sizes – B (2.25 mm) to E (3.5 mm) & Needle Sizes – 1 (2.25 mm) to 3 (3.25 mm)
  • 5 Ply: Hook Sizes – E (3.5 mm) to 7 (4.5 mm) & Needle Sizes – 3 (3.25 mm) to 5 (3.75 mm)
  • 8 Ply: Hook Sizes – G (4.0 mm) to H (5.0 mm) & Needle Sizes – 6 (4.0 mm) to 8 (5.0 mm)

Please note:

  • Color Representation: We do our best to show colors as accurately as possible, but please keep in mind that shades may look slightly different in person due to individual screen settings, monitor calibration, or lighting conditions.
  • All cakes are hand-wound with care: Slight variation is part of the handmade process and adds to the unique character of each piece.

    10/10 recommend. This is my second time ordering from CCW and I am absolutely obsessed! Amazing customer service with quick responses, the picture doesnt do these colors justice (does it ever though) super soft. I love that the cakes come with beads to make it flow easier when working with it. I love how you can do a custom or a pre made order like this (ive done both) its just honestly been a amazing experience and will be a forever customer. If your 50/50 on ordering from here let his be your sign to do it!
